Events & Sales assistant - 16 hours per week, split between two days on either Wednesday/Thursday/Saturday

Location – Sheffield

Salary – £9.56 p/h

Due to continued success and growth we are looking for a driven and ambitious person to join our team to own the student experience within our outstanding student accommodation. The successful applicant will also be comfortable supporting the other team members with sales and general customer service.

As Events & Sales assistant, you will be focused on providing an outstanding programme of events for our residents, using the large budget available to the property. The idea is to maximise re-booking by giving an exceptional experience to residents living at the property. You will meet and greet guests, conduct building tours and ensure a first-class experience for every potential resident from the moment they enquire, through to arrival and check in, and your standards will be second to none.

You will be a target-driven individual with a natural talent for selling and securing an opportunity. You will be responsible for planning, organising and hosting a packed events calendar which will enrich the experience for our residents and ensure they love living with us, and you will thrive on engaging with a diverse mix of students every day. The events calendar will be rich and varied and will assist in creating a 5 star experience for our residents as well as driving retention in the longer term. You will be the face of student experience and someone with incredible people skills who loves a fast-paced environment will thrive in this role. You will also support general sales and customer service in the property, including open days and intake days as a representative of the property.

To be successful in this role, ideal candidates are required to have excellent IT skills along with superb customer care, communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to understand and respond to the needs of the students and as this is a busy and varied role you will be required to be highly organised at all times. The successful candidate will be an excellent problem solver and capable of responding to and resolving complaints.

Working hours will be predominantly 9am -5.30 on Wednesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays (two from three). Evening hours may be required, for example if you are running a late event or attending an open day.
